Located on the shores Razelm – Sinoe, at 20 kilometers from the arm of St. George, 40 kilometers north of Histria and 7 kilometers Jurilovca, in Tulcea County, Argamum founded by Greek settlers came from Asia Minor VII century BC through, the first settlement in our country mentioned in ancient writings. Archaeological excavations have revealed traces that dated from the Bronze Age.<\/p>\n

Currently Argamum spans approximately two hectares and a half. The place is unique and it is located within the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, eroded cliffs of Razelm offering exceptional landscape and the possibility of walks over shore and near the water.<\/p>\n

The archaeological site is identified by the presence of ruins and some architectural elements: the gate, the defense wall, a few streets, basilicas and pagan earth walls. Most of the city was still underground, unsearched, but often dug shallow tourists and locals.<\/p>\n

This archaeological site unearthed relics were unique, used to exchange coins, made of bronze arrowheads, delfina\u015fi Olbian and bronze ingots as marine mammals.<\/p>\n
